Ellen Adarna responds to netizen questioning her F4 concert backstage access

Ellen Adarna responded to a comment questioning her backstage access at F4’s Philippine concert, clarifying that her opportunity to meet the group came through personal connections and not through any special treatment from the event organizers.

On Instagram, Ellen posted a screenshot of the netizen’s comment, which she replied to.

“Sorry, but just wow backstage access! Live Nation PH [you] never disappoint us! I'm waiting to see which celebrity or influencer is backstage at BTS,” the netizen said.

Ellen then corrected the claim, explaining that F4 member Vanness Wu personally invited them backstage through his friendship with television host Rovilson Fernandez.

“Before spreading false information please fact check first. Vanness personally gave us backstage access through his friendship with Rovilson Fernandez. Live Nation had nothing to do with it,” Ellen said.

She added that her friendship with Rovilson goes way back, while Rovilson and Vanness have also been close friends for years.

Rovilson hosted “Asia’s Got Talent” in 2015, where Vanness served as one of the judges.

“I've been friends with Rovilson since before showbiz, and he's been good friends with Vanness for years. They simply wanted to catch up, and we were fortunate enough to be invited along. Not everything needs a conspiracy or special treatment. Sometimes it's simply called friendship. Next time, verify your information before making accusations. 'Pag inggit, pikit.”

Ellen also addressed fans who reacted negatively to the situation, saying that people should be able to celebrate others’ experiences without turning them into controversies.

“Sa mga bitter na faney, eto na ang totoong nangyari. Mahirap ba talagang maging masaya na lang para sa iba? Hindi naman lahat ng bagay kailangan gawan ng issue o kuwento,” she said.

F4 brought their F Forever tour to the Philippine Arena on Saturday, June 27. Ken Chu was not at the event, but Ashin of Mayday joined Vanness, Jerry Yan, and Vic Chou.

The group was formed in 2001 following their appearance on the hit series "Meteor Garden" alongside the late actress Barbie Hsu.

The band is best known for the songs "Meteor Rain," "Can't Lose You," and their cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love," among others. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA News
