Nadine Lustre says Kim Ji Soo shares her love for Siargao

Nadine Lustre revealed that South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo became so attached to Siargao while filming the series "Love, Siargao.”

During a media conference on Wednesday, Nadine shared how Ji Soo fell in love with the island.

According to the actress, the cast had a group chat where they would keep in touch, especially on days when they did not have filming schedules.

“Tapos, pag may days po kasi na wala kaming shoots, everyone kind of does their own thing. May pumunta ng gym, mayroon may meeting, mayroon may maglalunch, mayroon may shoot na ganito,” Nadine shared.

She recalled frequently seeing Ji Soo riding a motorcycle around Siargao during their downtime, a sign of how much he enjoyed exploring the island.

"I always see him on the road, nang nakamotor. And sobrang love na love na niya 'yung island. Like, he would really say na, like, 'I love Siargao, I wanna go back',” Nadine said.

She added that she was surprised to discover that Ji Soo is an avid surfer.

"Marunong siya, magaling siya mag-surf," she revealed.

Even after filming wrapped and the cast returned to Manila, Nadine said Ji Soo continued talking about Siargao and expressed his desire to visit again.

"Nag-message siya na parang sabi niya, 'I wanna go back to the island.' Parang, it feels so different," she recalled.

In "Love, Siargao," Ji Soo plays the role of Han Bin, the co-owner of the hotel where Kara (Nadine) works.

Aside from Nadine and Kim Ji Soo, “Love, Siargao” also stars Alden Richards, Kyline Alcantara and Gab Lagman, among others.

The series delves into the “Siargao Curse” lore, which suggests that visitors to the island either never leave or fall in love.

It follows the story of Jao (Alden) and Kara (Nadine), two strangers with opposing principles in life whose paths eventually cross as they navigate the highs and lows of modern romance.
