Epy Quizon hails TNVS driver for returning his phone: 'People like you restore our faith in humanity'
Epy Quizon has praised a TNVS driver who returned his cellphone after he accidentally left it in the car.
The actor shared the heartwarming story on Instagram Friday, where he also posted a photo of himself with the driver, named Jhun Diaz.
"I accidentally left my phone in his car. I had no way to contact him, and he had no way to contact me. Instead of simply leaving, he stayed near the area where he had dropped me off, hoping I’d realize my phone was missing," he said.
According to Epy, he only noticed his phone was missing after almost three hours had passed. His daughter, Misha, and his partner, Mapet, then called his phone and Jhun picked up the call.
Minutes later, Jhun arrived and gave Epy's phone back.
"What I’ll remember most wasn’t just that he gave my phone back—it was the smile on his face. There was no annoyance, no irritation about the inconvenience. Just genuine happiness that he could help," the actor said.
He expressed his gratitude to Jhun, noting that such acts of honesty should be celebrated.
"Thank you, Mr. Jhun Diaz, for your kindness, integrity, and compassion," said Epy. "People like you restore our faith in humanity."
Epy had starred in GMA's family drama series "Pulang Araw" with Dennis Trillo, Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, David Lichauco, Sanya Lopez, and more. It debuted on GMA Prime in July 2024 and aired its finale in December of the same year.
