Ashley Ortega and her Ash Lovers fan club paid a visit to children with disabilities in Navotas City in line with National Disability Rights Week

According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, it was a fan meeting and thanksgiving celebration for the Sparkle star and her fans.

Ashley said persons with disabilities are close to her heart after portraying Angel in the GMA Afternoon Prime series, “Apoy sa Dugo.”

“Itong mga kids na kasama ko ngayon, naiintindihan ko sila so I want na hindi natin sila makalimutan. Gusto ko ma-experience rin nila ‘yung kasiyahan today. So I’m just really happy,” she said.

Ashley also expressed her gratitude to the Ash Lovers for organizing the event while she was busy with work.

Meanwhile, Ashley just got back from a trip to Vietnam with “Apoy sa Dugo” co-stars Elle Villanueva and Derrick Monasterio, as well as friend Roxie Smith.

Aside from enjoying Vietnamese cuisine, the group also went sightseeing and shopping.

Per Carampel's report, Ashley is looking forward to traveling with her boyfriend, Mavy Legaspi, next month for a concert. The Sparkle actress is also preparing for an upcoming movie.
