Mika Salamanca to join Will Ashley in upcoming series 'Delivery Boi'

Will Ashley has got a special co-star on the upcoming series, “Delivery Boi,” and she is none other than Mika Salamanca.

In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, the Kapuso actor described Mika as a “sobrang random person,” or someone with a lot of personalities.

“Feeling ko mas magiging madali ‘to kasi isa nga ‘yung kumportable na kami sa isa’t isa, nagkatrabaho na kami, nagkasama kami sa loob ng bahay. So magiging madali siya for me,” Will said.

Mika likewise commended Will, calling him “very professional.”

“Will—nakikita mo talaga sa kaniya ‘yung sampung taon, lagpas na taon niya sa pagtatrabaho sa pagiging artista kasi sobrang professional at sobrang galing po niyang katrabaho,” she said.

“Delivery Boi” will prove to be a challenge to both stars, as Will rarely does comedy and Mika's role is also out of her comfort zone.

“Tawag po nila dito ‘tawa-serye’ kaya super light lang talaga nitong series na ‘to,” Will said. “Malayo siya sa mga nagawa ko before na puro iyakan, puro confrontation.”

“Sa mga past ano ko po, very umiiyak sila lagi, very sad ‘yung mga character, may pinaglalaban. Here, may pinaglalaban pa rin po ako pero it’s for other people. It’s for the mga nag-de-deliver na mga tao,” Mika shared. “And very masiyahin ako dito. As in, sobra."

“Delivery Boi” is Will’s first solo lead role.

Directed by Dominic Zapata, “Delivery Boi” follows Boi (Will), a street-smart delivery rider who unknowingly inspires fellow riders through quiet acts of kindness despite life’s challenges and relationship troubles. Driven by truth, he sets out to unite the rider community and claim his rightful place.

Mika and Will are both former housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0." Mika was hailed as the Big Winner along with her duo, Brent Manalo, while Will was the Second Big Placer along with his duo, Ralph De Leon.
