Barbie Forteza not yet looking to love again, says she's 'date to marry'

Barbie Forteza is focusing on self-love over romance, sharing she's not yet looking to love again.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Tuesday, the Kapuso actress's priority is to give all the love she has to herself first.

"I'm not thinking about it or I'm not looking to love another again just yet because I want to pour all that love to myself," she said in Filipino.

Barbie also shared that she is not the type to date casually.

"I'm date to marry. That's why it's 'Saving Cherry,' right? I'm date to marry, so until I'm ready and I'm really, really sure of the person I'm gonna go out with, I will not be dating," she said.

During the media conference for her upcoming movie "Saving Cherry," Barbie and her co-stars were asked about their dream wedding.

"I wanna get married in Vegas in Vera Wang [so there is] divorce," she said in jest.

She also earned applause from the audience when she answered with a resounding "F— no" whether cheaters deserve a second chance.

Barbie is starring in "Saving Cherry" alongside Khalil Ramos, Mikee Quintos, Mika Salamanca, Sassa Gurl, AC Bonifacio, and more.

Earlier, the actress shared that her role in the movie is her most mature role to date.

"Actually, it was fun because let's admit it, not everyone who acts nice is actually nice, so I did not expect that I would have that kind of side. Wild but with reason, with depth, and most of all, I think this is my most mature role so far because it tackles marriage," she said in Filipino.

Directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal, “Saving Cherry” will premiere in cinemas on September 2.

Aside from “Saving Cherry,” Barbie will star in the upcoming collab series “Honor Thy Mother” with Sharon Cuneta. —CDC, GMA News
