"Barangay Love Stories," a radio program on GMA network's flagship FM radio station Barangay LS 97.1 Forever, is set to air on GMA Network this September.

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Friday, "Barangay Love Stories" host Papa Dudut shared his excitement in reaching a much wider audience soon.

"I’m very excited about this opportunity because it’s a much bigger platform, which means more people will get to watch. What people used to imagine as drama will now come to life with visuals on television," he said in Filipino.

Per Papa Dudut, he still gets nervous whenever he goes on air due to the wide range of stories and issues he shares with listeners.

He also shared his appreciation that GMA Radio is involved in the project to have the program televised.

"What’s exciting is that they agreed to have GMA Radio be part of the project. They’ll serve as the advisers, and of course, I’m here as well. On top of that, [GMA] Public Affairs is involved—and we all know they’re among the best when it comes to storytelling on television," he said.

Hosted by Papa Dudut, "Barangay Love Stories" gives listeners weekly stories on life, love, and hope through letters sent by listeners.

Last December, "Barangay Love Stories" won Top Love & Relationship Podcast and Top Podcast in the Philippines 2025 from Spotify Wrapped. —CDC, GMA News
