Sunshine Dizon says illness forces her to give up TV soap role
Actress Sunshine Dizon denied reports that Camille Prats stole her supposed role in the TV adaptation of Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan, saying a health issue was the reason she did not pursue the part. "I feel bad for Camille because people are saying that," Dizon told GMA Networkâs Showbiz Central on Sunday in an interview. âThe fact is Camille's role was for me and it just so happened that unfortunately I couldn't give in to the demands of the taping schedule and I was sick at that time," she said. Dizon was supposed to play the role "Lily" for the soap opera. However, in the middle of their photo shoot, Dizon reportedly fell ill and she was rushed to hospital. Dizon also declined to comment on a critique of her and Prat's acting style. "As far as I'm concerned they're doing a good job, so I guess everybody's doing a great job. Camille's a very good choice and she's doing a great job in playing the part that I was supposed to do. Let's give it to her," Dizon said. Dizon said she is excited with her new project, where she would team-up with action-star Robin Padilla. âI'm very glad that I've waited. Na hindi ako gumawa agad-agad ng ibang pelikula. It's really worth the wait," she said. âAnd I'm just so glad that now that I'm back ang makakasama ko pa sa pelikula ay si Mr. Robin Padilla. So you know, I'm very lucky. I'm so blessed," said Dizon. - GMANews.TV
