Joyce Jimenez hurt in Pangasinan road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Joyce Jimenez was injured in a road mishap in Pangasinan province while on her way from Baguio City to Metro Manila early Monday, a radio report said. Radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported that Jimenez was rushed to the Medical City in Pasig City where she was treated for lacerations on her forehead. "X-rays niya are all normal at ang examination sa abdomen normal. At present time, ang gagamutin lang lacerations sa forehead ... Most probabaly bukas pwede na siyang umuwi (Her X-rays are all normal and what is left to be done now is to treat the lacerations on her forehead. Most probably she can be cleared for release by Tuesday)," Dr Mel Menguito said in an interview on dzBB radio. Initial investigation showed Jimenez had just come from a shooting and was on her way to Metro Manila from Baguio City. In Pangasinan, the driver of her Toyota Fortuner sport-utility vehicle swerved to avoid an oncoming truck and crashed, then turned on its side.
