Viewers warned about 'Survivor' spoiler
Last week, a showbiz blog wrote about the rumored winner of Survivor Philippines, which started just three weeks ago. It claimed that hard-court heartthrob John Carlo "JC" Tiuseco is the first Pinoy Sole Survivor. The entry explained that the information was obtained inside a coffee shop, where alleged staff members of Survivor Philippines indiscreetly talked about the show. They allegedly mentioned the name of the 23-year-old varsity player from San Sebastian as the grand winner of the said GMA-7 reality show. However, Survivor Philippines host Paolo Bediones denied this rumor and warned the show's viewers about Survivor "spoiler." In a phone interview with Paolo by Marinel Cruz, which was published last Monday in a daily broadsheet, the reality-show host said that the write-up is incorrect and just meant to spoil the program. "Spoilers come from people who make it their business to ruin the show for others. Ninety-five percent of those are untrue. But thanks to them, people are now more curious about the show," said the TV host. Paolo also explained that it's impossible to identify the winner because only the program manager knows the final result. The contestants who comprised the Jury cast their final votes before they left Koh Tarutao, or popularly known as Devil's Island, in Thailand last September. He added, "Everything will be revealed, live, on the last day of the show." Meanwhile, Paolo was also asked about his fearless forecast about the show. He said he is rooting for, "Zita, Niña, Marlon, JC, and Vevherly," to be the final five. For Paolo, the 46-year-old laundrywoman Zita Ortiga has "a great story and fantastic disposition." On the other hand, Niña Ortiz, the 40-year-old mother "is a straight up player." Although many viewers hate Marlon Carmen, 30, a waiter, Paolo thinks, "he won the trust of his tribe." Paolo also said that rumored winner JC had wanted to quit on the first day but "he's been doing well." Lastly, Vevherly Gador, 20, according to Paolo, "has gone through a lot. People root for someone like her." At press time, four castaways have been voted outâChev Macias, Emerson Diño, Gigit Sulit, and Patani Dañoâwhile 14 is still on the game. - Philippine Entertainment Portal
