Kris Aquino pregnant - report

Kris Aquino, daughter of a former president and a national hero, is pregnant, according to a report on dzBB radio Thursday morning. Entertainment reporter Eagle Riggs congratulated Aquino and her husband, basketball superstar James Yap, for the upcoming birth of their child. The Aquino family, however, has not issued an official confirmation on the matter. The showbiz celebrity is the youngest daughter of former President Corazon Aquino and the late Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr, both key figures who rallied Filipinos against strongman Ferdinand Marcos during the 1980s. Kris continues to be a powerful draw among the Filipino masses, with bragging rights to some of the highest grossing films and most watched television episodes in Philippine history. She was earlier reported to be aspiring for a senatorial post in the May 2007 elections. She has a son with her former live-in partner, action star Philip Salvador. Her separation with another erstwhile live-in partner, comedian Joey Marquez, grabbed national headlines in September 2003.-GMANews.TV
