Singer files raps vs ‘fake’ doc over botched butt job

Singer Selina Sevilla on Wednesday filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against an alleged fake doctor who botched a butt augmentation procedure on her in 1998. Sevilla (Sharon Simon in real life) was accompanied by her lawyer, Rey Edgar Dazo, when she went to the NBI-Special Action Unit (SAU) to formally file the complaint against a certain Dr. R.A. Eugenio. She narrated that Eugenio injected silicon oil on her buttocks in 1998 in his house that also served as his clinic at 2648 Dominga St. in Malate, Manila. She said she had to go there twice that year because the first operation made her buttocks uneven. "I went to his clinic twice. The second time was a few months after the first procedure when I noticed that the size of my buttocks was uneven, so he fixed it," she said, adding that the procedure cost her P20,000. However, five years ago, Selina started feeling pain in her buttocks. She also noticed oil-like substance coming out from it. "When I was in London, my butt was stiff. In the past months, my butt started to be deformed and the changes were rapid. I consulted a doctor, Lorenzo Loh, who told me that the infection spread in my butt. It started inside then it was later apparent na from my skin," the singer said. Dazo said they are studying filing illegal practice and reckless imprudence resulting to serious physical injuries against the doctor, who had reportedly left the country two years ago. “We are told that Dr. Eugenio is not license to practice medicine and has no license to conduct surgery, reconstructive surgery so we cannot file malpractice," he said. Lawyer Angelito Magno, chief of NBI-SAU, said they have taken the statement of Sevilla and will coordinate with the embassies to locate Eugenio. - GMANews.TV
