Angelika de la Cruz files oral defamation case vs car owner

It's not so much a case of who bumped who, but who cursed whom first: Actress-singer Angelika de la Cruz or Ma. Lourdes Rivera, the owner of the Chevrolet Optra that rear-ended her Nissan Urvan? Kristine Cancio, Rivera's daughter, admitted it was the car she was driving that rear-ended De la Cruz's van. But De la Cruz says it was the car owner, not her or her driver, who cast the first invective. That's why the singer-actress filed a complaint of oral defamation and unjust vexation against Rivera last Dec. 14 at the Quezon City fiscal's office. The accident, which happened last Dec. 12 on Commonwealth Avenue, has led to a series of confrontations, one of which was on Dec. 17 in Boy Abunda's show, The Buzz.
