Hayden and Vicki: The Twitter drama that was

The relationship of celebrity couple Hayden Kho and Dra Vicki Belo is a media favorite. It tells the story by itself, but the latest turn of events seemed to have taken a new level of exposure. After announcing their engagement last year, Hayden and Vicki's relationship was going down a peaceful road. Until it began to unravel - on Twitter, no less. It started on the 10th of February when cosmetics surgeon Vicki Belo tweeted: “Nancy Castiglione, you can now openly date Hayden. You have my blessings. Hope you’ll both be happy." It immediately became the hottest news on Twitter with the Impeachment trial sidelined to a lover's quarrel episode unfolding before the public's probing eyes. Thirty minutes after Vicki's tweet, Hayden clarified, also on Twitter, that they were just having a misunderstanding and that "there's NO infidelity issue." Actress Nancy Castiglione, he said, was just a good friend and didn't deserve to be dragged into the issue because it "involves the welfare of two innocent toddlers." Nancy: I'm a committed woman Castiglione said, in a phone interview with GMA showbiz talk show Startalk TX, that she was clueless where Belo was coming from as she and Hayden only "speak over Twitter." She also said: "I'm a committed woman. I have a family; buo ang family ko. You know what I mean? I really believe that maybe there's a miscommunication or a misunderstanding." Belo, on the other hand, told Startalk that once and for all, they were "over." Happily Single Two days after 'breaking it up' with Hayden, Vicki let in her Twitter followers on her plan of spending her "first Valentine's day alone" in Los Angeles, even adding that maybe "she will learn to love herself" there. She also revealed through a tweet that son Quark Henares was her date in the US . Henares even blogged on Tumblr that his mom Vicki gave her a camera lens that was supposed to be her Valentine's gift for Hayden. Henares had always appeared lukewarm on his mother's relationship with the doctor turned businessman, even saying he has his eyes over Kho and that "if he hurts her again, I think I will really have to kill him." Henares has since apologized to Kho for the statement. But when the Nancy issue broke out on Twitter, Henares had this to say: "opening twitter to a barrage of tweets @ me. mostly people telling me to make good on a death threat i made last July." Real proof of infidelity On the eve of February 20, ten days after being accused of cheating with Nancy Castiglione, Hayden Kho turned the tables on Vicki Belo: 'You were the one unfaithful and I have proof.' Kho, through his Twitter page, posted a photo of a letter supposedly from Vicki's Bikram Yoga instructor to her, which he called a "real proof of infidelity." He began his outburst by saying: "Ok that's it! I tried to just turn around and walk away just to silence my accusers. But this is too much already," and challenged Vicki to show proof of her previous accusations involving Castiglione. The letter, from yoga teacher Al Galang, dated October 16, read: "Baby, my writing might be hard for your eyes to digest, but know I mean every word. I'll only be gone for two weeks, but that feels like such a long time now because you've been such an important part of my life. In ways, it's starting to revolve around you and I love that. I'll miss you, but know that I'm right there with you, all the time. I'll call you often ok? Save up the hugs and kisses for when I get back. Isn't this special? -- AG." He followed it up with a photo of Galang, saying "You said it was just a friendly letter." Nobody cheated But when Twitter woke up the morning of February 21, Kho's tweets were gone and were replaced with a series of clarifications and apologies. He maintained, however, that the letter was real but that Galang had already apologized and that Vicki had also explained herself. "I believe her, Vicki DID not have an affair with that guy," Kho tweeted. He again reiterated that there is no infidelity issue, saying "Vicki did not cheat on me. I did not cheat on Vicki. And Al and Nancy have got nothing to do w/ this." Al Galang speaks In a Facebook message he sent Entertainment news portal PEP.ph, Galang said to "not put too much stock on that letter." He said that although "he thinks the world of Vicki," he doesn't remember the letter Hayden had exposed on Twitter. "I've given her notes and words of encouragement in the past, but I don't know what this particular letter is all about. I don't even remember who it's for!," PEP quoted Galang as saying. Asked on his thoughts on Hayden and Vicki's breakup, Galang said he was happy for the surgeon's "newfound happiness." "I'm excited for her; she really seems to enjoy being single," he said. Hayden: I will be quitting Twitter After all that has been tweeted and done, Hayden hinted we might be seeing the last days of him on Twitter. He wrapped his February 21 retractions with: "And so, finally and officially, I am quitting this twitter account and abandoning my previous plan of going back to THAT world."
