Dolphy's burial tentatively planned for Sunday


The burial of the late Comedy King Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon has been tentatively scheduled for this Sunday, five days after he died. A report by radio dzBB's Glen Juego said this was part of the schedule released by Dolor Guevarra, manager of Dolphy's son Eric Quizon. Dolphy died Tuesday night at the Makati Medical Center at age 83, two weeks before his 84th birthday. His remains were brought to the Heritage Park in Taguig City. For Wednesday, only his family members were allowed in the chapel where his remains were brought. The report said Dolphy's remains were to be brought to the Dolphy Theater in Quezon City at 1 p.m., where a public viewing would be held at 9 p.m. His remains would then be brought back to the Heritage Park at 3 a.m. Thursday. A public viewing at the Heritage Park would be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday. — LBG, GMA News
