Taguig City police map out security, traffic plans for Dolphy public viewing

Police in Taguig City on Wednesday started mapping out security and traffic plans for the public viewing of the remains of the late Comedy King Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon that will start on Thursday. Taguig City police chief Senior Superintendent Tomas Apolinario sought a meeting with the Quizon family to coordinate the plans, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported. Apolinario was quoted in the report as saying they expect many fans of the late Comedy King to show up at the public viewing starting Thursday. He said he had scheduled a meeting with Nene Atiliano, manager of Dolphy's partner Zsa Zsa Padilla, to iron out the plans. Dolphy died Tuesday night at the Makati Medical Center at age 83. His remains were brought to the Heritage Park in Taguig City. Many of his fans showed up at the Heritage Park but were not allowed inside, as the public viewing of his remains would not start until Thursday. Several of the fans went home after learning the public viewing starts Thursday. The Comedy King's burial has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday. — LBG, GMA News
