Rufa Mae replaces Gladys in Eat Bulaga!

Singer/comedienne Gladys Guevarra has acknowledged the fact that Rufa Mae Quinto has taken her place in Eat Bulaga!. She resigned from the longest-running noontime show earlier this month, surprising everyone and sparking a controversy. In an interview aired in last Sunday's S-Files, Guevarra said: "Wag nyo naman kami pag-awayin kasi magkaibigan kami." She kept mum, however, when asked about her lovelife. But she sprang to life when asked to speak on her new show Magic Kamison, which is set to be shown on GMA starting February 4. Guevarra had said she was very happy to have her own show, and that it was, along with her back problem, the reason she had to leave Eat Bulaga!. The talented singer said she could not handle a daily show anymore because of her new project and her health woe. Guevarra had also repeatedly denied she and Janno Gibbs were an item and that their relationship turned sour, prompting her to resign from Eat Bulaga!. She, however, admitted Gibbs was her crush and hinted they could be lovers if he courted her. "Syempre, Janno Gibbs yan no," she said, laughing. Magic Kamison also stars, among others, Nadine Samonte, Iwa Moto, Alfred Vargas, Joy Viado, and Pilita Corrales. - GMANews.TV
