Alden Richards reveals fitness secret

Kapuso hunk Alden Richards is getting sexier and sexier everyday. Being the perfect combination of charming, talented and charismatic seals the deal, but Alden still believes in the importance of taking care of your body.
The once cutesy actor unleashed his sexy side when he walked the runway shirtless and doused in oil. The world saw just how arresting and appealing Alden is.
Since then, he has become the poster boy of a leading aesthetic clinic and has graced the cover of a health and lifestyle magazine.
What is the Carmela leading man’s secret to maintaining his toned physique?
“Eating right is the key and if I can, I workout as much as possible. What really matters is how you treat your body. It’s about diet and having a positive outlook in life,” stated Alden.
The Kapuso actor believes that anything in moderation is good, but as of late, he has been under a strict diet. Recently, he did a two-week program where he had to cut out carbohydrates, sugar and vegetables. It was an all-meat diet.
“Since you don’t take in carbs, the body looks for energy elsewhere that’s why the stored fats in your body get burned. You really have to follow it strictly because if you eat a piece of cake even if you’re on day 13, you’ll go back to zero,” explained Alden.
After his two-week diet program, Alden observed that his appetite has declined and he has stopped craving for rice and sweets. He admitted though, that it was quite a challenge because going on a strict diet can take a toll on your mood.
Alden said, “Mahirap talaga, but you really have to control your temper kasi alam naman po nating lahat that any diet is nakakainit ng ulo because you’re being deprived of something na gusto mong gawin or kainin, so it really involves a lot of discipline to relax. When you see the results naman, it’s rewarding.”
For those who have busy schedules like him, Alden suggested downloading a seven-minute workout app that comprises of a series of routines with no weights required. The exercises are quick and easy, perfect for those who have no time to go to the gym.
If time permits, Alden would also like to try getting into sports like mountain climbing, trekking and biking. He is also interested in extreme sports like bungee jumping.
