Luis Alandy admits: 'Hindi ako marunong manligaw'

During our recent visit on the set of Innamorata, we caught up with leading man Luis Alandy to talk about his character on the show as “Edwin Manansala.”

We asked him how he would compare himself to Edwin and if he had any similarities with the character. His answer was short and simple, “Wala.”
 
Luis elaborated more on this. “Malayong-malayo ako kay Edwin. Si Edwin, seryoso siya sa love. Ako naman, sa totoong buhay, seryoso rin pero medyo on the fun side ako e. I like having fun within the relationship.”
 
Edwin is well-loved by the fans of the show because of his endearing and romantic antics to prove his love to Esperanza, played by Max Collins. If Luis were to court a girl, how would he make his moves? His answer wasn’t one that we expected. “Hindi ako marunong manligaw.” At first we thought it was a joke but turns out, Luis was dead serious.
 
“I prefer a relationship that starts with friendship and from there, you get to know each other rather than putting your best foot forward and manliligaw.” According to him, he doesn’t see the point of panliligaw. “Mas maganda ‘yung start with friendship.”
 
Luis is not completely against the idea of courtship. “Siyempre dun makikita nung girl ‘daw’ yung effort nung guy kung gusto talaga.” But for the him, the courting stage should already be within the relationship and a guy’s efforts shouldn’t stop after courtship ends. “Mahirap yung parang always best foot forward.”
 
Luis may not know how to make ligaw to girls but he definitely still capture our hearts with his charming and humble self. Catch him everyday as “Edwin” on Innamorata as he make our hearts skip a beat with his sweet one-liners and swabe moves.
