Nora Aunor emotional as sculpture of her movie character unveiled in Ilocos
It was superstar Nora Aunor's turn to be starstruck on Saturday as she saw firsthand a sculpture of one of the iconic film characters she portrayed more than 30 years ago.
The actress broke into tears as she saw the sculpture of Elsa – a character she played in the 1982 film "Himala" – in Ilocos Norte on Saturday, GMA News' Hadji Rieta reported.

Photos taken by GMA Ilocos' Argie Lorenzo showed Aunor, wearing a blue outfit, wiping away tears after seeing the sculpture unveiled.
A separate report from Bombo Radyo Laoag said Aunor thanked Ilocos Norte residents, especially Gov. Imee Marcos, for the sculpture.
The governor and daughter of late strongman Ferdinand Marcos had backed the production of the film, as she was director of the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines at the time.
Elsa was the barrio lass portrayed by Superstar Nora Aunor in "Himala."
"Himala" tells the story of Elsa, a barrio girl who has visions of the Virgin Mary. Her visions supposedly caused hysteria in the village amid a drought.
Scenes from one of Ishmael Bernal's greatest works had been filmed in the desert in Paoay.
An earlier report on state-run Philippine Information Agency said Gerry Leonardo, a teacher from the Philippine High School for the Arts and famous Filipino visual artist, crafted the fiberglass sculpture. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
