A moment with Marian Rivera

With Marian’s recent venture into the primetime block, more people have been noticing just how gorgeous she really is. Perfectly complementing her expressive eyes and flawless skin are undeniable talent, an endearing sense of humor, and good-natured practicality. In an exclusive interview, iGMA discovers that Marian is a far cry from the oppressed characters she’s played on the small screen. It is quite unusual for the younger set to take on roles that require them to act older than their age. Yet, this is exactly what Marian Rivera is successfully doing on primetime TV. In Super Twins, she plays Ester, mom of a super pair, Sha-Sha and Tin-Tin. Her character has greatly evolved from day one, which ultimately tested her acting skills. We followed her heart-wrenching journey to insanity, but she says that Ester’s development is just beginning. Her role as a mother is a welcome, albeit scary change, especially since she has always portrayed the young, abandoned underdog in the past. Is there a particular role that she wants to play? ‘Yun na lang siguro!" she suggests with a grin. Her role in Agawin is quite close to Marian’s heart because this was where she won an acting award. “Sa Star Awards. Best Female Actress. Sobrang memorable nun sa akin," she imparts. As someone who has already proven her worth as an actress, is there something else that she would like to improve? Siguro more motivation, mas mabilis at mas madaling umiyak, pero siyempre habang tumatagal, dapat mas maganda," she notes. Marian made it a point to finish college (she has a degree in psychology) and even worked for a while before entering the glitzy world of showbiz. Sa trabaho, iniisip ko rin naman na hindi pangmatagalan itong showbiz, so gusto ko rin mag-business," she shares.starsBut she prefers to keep her business plans under wraps – for now. “Secret! Wag muna! Apart from being a college grad, did you know that Marian is a dancer? She’s been grooving since her elementary days! After all, we never see her rocking the dance floor on SOP where many actresses her age hang out every Sunday. Although she outgrew her dancing days, Marian remains a kid at heart at home. After all, she’s a Hello Kitty junkie! - iGMA.tv
