New male singing group Men of Manila wants to ‘entertain with heart’

It's a story often told, how performers aspire to crack into show business to help their families or to showcase their talents.

But in the case of Men of Manila, a new singing group composed of 12 males from 16 to 25 years old, performing also means giving back to others through charity.

The group—whose members come from different parts of the Philippines, as well as from the Europe, the Middle East, and the USA—said they are planning to give part of their earnings from performances and record sales to a charity of their choice.

It is with the hopes of bringing "entertainment with heart" that they deliver their rendition of favorite love songs like the classics "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and "Somethin' Stupid," and Police's "Every Breath You Take."

Men of Manila is composed of Imm Zaidi, Jester Hernandez, Clark Merced, Yano Gaspari, Arcel Delgado, Kurt Batacan, Nelson Valencia, Paolo Sta. Maria, Xen Monforte, Lio Garcia, Gabriel Bayan, and Redjie Relucio, a cousin of internationally acclaimed singer Charice.

They will be holding their first concert at the Music Museum on July 26, Saturday. Tickets, selling at P500 and P1,000, are now available. — Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/BM, GMA News
