Marian Rivera holds Kapuso Fans’ Day, auction for Yolanda victims in Pampanga

GMA Primetime Queen Marian Rivera extends her gratitude to her loyal fans for their unwavering love and support by mounting her first-ever Kapuso Fans’ Day in Pampanga happening at SM City Clark on Sunday, September 28.
Beginning at 6: 00 p.m., Kapuso supporters in the Clark area will be treated to a night of pure entertainment through various exciting games and not to mention thrilling performances from Marian herself. Joining her as event host is comedian Boobay.
Pampanga already counts as Marian’s 11th stop after her successful shows in eight cities and two towns namely Naga City, Baguio City, Dagupan City, Cebu City and Consolacion, Roxas City, Bacolod City, Davao City, General Santos City and Daraga in Albay.
In addition, Marian, who serves as Campaign Ambassadress of the Kapuso Adopt-a-Bangka Project, will also be giving her fans a chance to own some of her pre-loved garments in an auction to be held at the Lewis Grand Hotel.
Marian showcases, this time, some of the favorite ensembles she donned in various TV guestings and regional promo tours.
Proceeds will be instrumental to the holistic and transformative rehabilitation of the local communities in Bantayan Island, Northern Cebu by rebuilding the fisher folk’s major tool of livelihood—their bangkas.
“Muli po akong magpapa-auction ng ilang mahahalagang damit na bumubuo sa aking makulay na buhay. Pinagdarasal ko na sana’y marami ang mag-participate upang higit nating matulungan ang mga kababayan natin sa Bantayan Island,” said the actress.
Gracing this meaningful activity are GMA Regional TV’s AVP and Head for Integrated Marketing Services Division Oliver Amoroso, GMA TV Central and Eastern Visayas (Cebu) Station Manager Ann Marie Tan, and President of Bantayan Island Association of Hotels, Resorts, Bars, and Restaurants Inc. Allan Monreal.
“This event marks the culmination of the Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka Project. To date, we have built and rehabilitated bangkasas well as provided fishing implements to more than 300 families. We are at a loss for words on how grateful we are for Marian, who dedicated her time and effort as Campaign Ambassadress, and, for our partners and donors, who extended kindness and generosity for this project. It has been nothing but a fruitful journey so far and we’re looking forward to more partnerships with Marian soon,” shares Amoroso.
Meanwhile, GMA brings StarStruck alumni to Iligan City’s Diyandi Festival. On September 27, Dion Ignacio graces the Sayaw Saulog Street Dancing Showdown at the Anahaw Amphitheater at 11AM. On September 28, Yasmien Kurdi, Steven Silva, Vaness del Moral, and Mike Tan stage a Kapuso Fiesta at the MSU-IIT Gym starting at 6PM. -- FRJ, GMA News
