Cherry Pie Picache goes sexy, bad in new soap

Multi-awarded actress Cherry Pie Picache was a picture of one hot momma at the Hiram na Mukha press conference held last Friday, April 13, at the 9501 Restaurant of ABS-CBN's ELJ Building. Cherry looked so sexy in a pair of so very short shorts (in gay lingo, people call it pu-e shorts) and a shirt that hugs her curvaceous body. "Wala naman, para maiba lang," said Cherry Pie when we told her how sexy she was in her outfit. "Para lang maka-relate nang husto sa bagong character ko in Hiram na Mukha. She added, "Medyo lilihis tayo ngayon sa medyo nakakasanayan na sa akin ng mga taong comedy roles sa mga recent movies ko. Medyo ita-try ko naman ngayon ang dark character, kami ni Katya [Santos] ang kontrabida sa buhay ni Heart [Evangelista] in the story." She looks so much in love and oozing with sex appeal. People are wondering if she's in love with a younger guy. "Hindi naman," she clarified. "Kami pa rin naman ng father ng anak kong si Anton [Jose Antonio], who's turning five sa April 28. I just feel good about myself. Gary [Tria, her boyfriend] and I are very much together, although hindi naman kami magkasama sa isang bahay." Why are they taking so long to take the plunge? Do they still have plan to get married? Or Cherry Pie is playing the role of a single mom now? "I don't consider myself one," said Cherry Pie. "Like I said, me and Gary are very much together as parents to Anton. I don't think I am ready yet to get married. Let's just say na we're still in the process of working it out. And hopefully, mag-work out naman ito. But if not, kung wala na talaga, then let's accept na hanggang dun na lang ‘yon. Ang kasal, it will come." If ever the process they are working on with their relationship doesn't work, will she be available for other suitors? "Oo naman!" she exclaimed. "Pangarap ko naman ang makasal at magkaroon ng sarili kong pamilya. Kaya lang, if you're thinking of younger men as suitors, I don't think so. Parang hindi, e." What's her type? "I'm attracted to men who has something between their ears. Alam mo yun, yung may sense kausap? Yung responsible na," Cherry Pie replied. Since she doesn't share the same house with Gary, how do they make their relationship work? According top Cherry Pie, "As a father to Anton, every day naman siyang nasa bahay namin. E, iba rin lang siguro ang takbo ng isip niya. Laking-UP [University of the Philippines] yun. So as far as our relationship is concerned, he's non-committal pa. And we both understand naman ‘yon and we have accepted this kind of set-up. "Enjoy sila ng anak namin playing golf together. Yes, at an early age, marunong na si Anton na mag-golf. O kaya, sama-sama kaming nagte-tennis," said the actress proudly. Where did she meet Gary? "Would you believe, we met in a tennis court?" she said. "Dun kami naglalaro sa Phil-Am. Medyo matagal na rin kami. And kahit naman ang in-laws ko, naiintindihan nila ang sitwasyon namin. I'm close to them. Gary works as a DOP [Director of Photography] and magkasama nga kami sa movie which I'm doing now, yung Foster. He's also working in ABS-CBN and he's in Love Spell." Cherry Pie is one of the most versatile actresses we have, having tackled so many different characters in movies and on television. "And in each role I've portrayed, I knew I was comfortable doing all of them," she added. "It's been a long time since I've played a black character kaya I'm excited now in Hiram. Sa TV kasi, napaka-rich ng kontrabida roles, e. And as you mature with your roles, nalalagyan at nadadagdagan ka rin ng iba-ibang layers with your performances." What is her gauge in accepting a role? "Sa TV, since we will be working for a longer time, siyempre importante na kasundo mo ang mga kasama mo. Kasi when you're working sa TV, nagiging parang isang malaking pamilya kayo, e. Bukod sa TF [talent fee]!" she laughed. "Seriously, dapat siyempre comfortable and happy ka with the people you are working with. I am the type naman who is not mareklamo, e. I can easily adapt.
