Fans share why they love Dingdong and Marian

 
It was seven years ago when Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera met after landing the role of Sergio and Marimar in the Filipino adaptation of Marimar; seven years since sparks flew onscreen and caught the attention of their fans.
 
The audience loved them. There was something in the way the mestiza beauty carried herself on and off cam. Jennie Esmeria, the president of Marimarians Fan Club, narrated how she came to idolize Marian, “When I saw her on TV, she was very beautiful and bubbly. Walang kaarte-arte.”
 
Dingdong and Marian went on to star opposite each other in Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel and Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang. As their careers bloomed, so did their fan following.

“Ibang klase kasi ang DongYan, nakaka-magnet kaya nila fan na fan ako, super kilig,” Ivy Junio of the D’ Original Marian Devotees shared.
 
Their fans flocked to their mall shows and events; their magazine covers flew off the shelves.  Fans also made the time to visit them on the set. Dingdong and Marian quickly shaped up to be the power love team of local TV.
 
“I always show my support to DongYan. I attend their block screenings and buy magazines with them on the cover. Even with SOP and now with Sunday All Stars. I always tune in when they guest on the show. At dati pa nga I make sure to always buy their DVD’s,” France Corpus of Super Solid Marian Rivera fan club gushed.
 
Dingdong and Marian loved their fans back and they became part of their journey. They shared their photos and celebrated achievements with their supporters. As their relationship grew deeper, so did their fans’ admiration. They made time to visit them on the set of their shows; in return, Marian and Dingdong gave them time and appreciation.
 
Fans especially appreciated their charitable works.
 
“Yung mga projects ni Yan, we’re always there including her advocacies like the Adopt-A-Bangka campaign,” Jennie said.
 
France also added that they loved how Dingdong and Marian were family-oriented. “They always find time for (their family) despite their busy schedules,” he said.
 
It was to their fans’ delight that Marian and Dingdong’s journey has brought them to the altar. For them, it was the beginning of a whole new chapter for the couple and for them as DongYan’s supporters.
