TRIVIA: Anthony Taberna’s wife Rossel auditioned for ‘StarStruck’

Rossel Taberna, the wife of broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna, recently revealed that she auditioned for the fourth season of the reality-based artista search StarStruck. She was batch mates with Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica.

She failed to advance to the latter rounds but made it to the Top 80. She also vividly recalls getting excited as she watched her audition video air on television.

“My audition [was unforgettable] ‘cause I was the very first hopeful to be aired in StarStruck batch 4. I will never forget that,” she shared.

I know it's only Monday, US time and almost Tuesday in Manila BUT this is a MAJOR THROWBACK. My StarStruck exit video. "Halukayad" from batch 4's files way back 2006. This one's one of my lasts appearance with the Kapuso network being a regular at Bitoy's Funniest Videos for 3 years and a semi regular in various sitcoms and that "Love-to-Love" weekly series. It was the phase of my life that I will never ever regret and forget. I learned a lot from being a struggling artist. I auditioned numerous times and failed on most of it. Fate wasn't that bitter though. I had a regular show, product ensorsement, print ads and so much more! And I was earning on my own as early as 1st year collage. BUT then it all had to end. Had I pushed a little harder, I know all my effort woudn't go to waste BUT it wasn't the life I wanted no more. And yes! 6 months after that video was taken, Anthony and I got engaged and after another 6 months, we finally tied the knot! So who's to blame? Yes you Beb! @iamtunying28 LOL no one! It was a tough choice especially when I already have a really good manager willing to handle me that time. And yes! They were all pissed off! Specially my Mom! Well dear Mama, you see where I am right now is still because of what I've learned from you in the past. I wouldn't be as strong and confident as I am right now if not for all the contests on and off tv that we've been through. I know that you will always have that feeling that if I didn't stop, it will be a totally different story BUT I also know that you are as happy as Dad to see me living peacefully and harmoniously with your grand daughters and your favorite manugang hehe! Thank you GMA for posting this one. It gave me a dramatic retrospect but it also reminded me that I also gained a lot of true good friends along the way and that prize is much much better than the prize of stardome! *Full caption in my FB account @starstruckgma

“StarStruck was such a great experience and I met really good friends. So excited for the next batch. I can tell my daughters now that I’ve been in your fourth batch and it was an awesome experience!” she added.
