Junior New System dancers blaze their way to the Asia's Got Talent grand finals

Clad in heels and sparkling shirts, Filipino dance crew Junior New System got all the Asia's Got Talent judges to press the golden buzzer, sending them straight to the competition's grand finals, GMA 7's "24 Oras" reported Friday.

Speaking in Filipino, a member explained to the judges why they wore heels for their acrobatic dance routines, "Yung manager po namin, ni-request niya po sa 'min 'to tapos triny po namin, prinactice po namin para may mapakita po kaming iba."



To which judge Vaness Wu, himself known for his signature dancing abilities, said, "For me personally, you guys don't need the shoes. You guys are amazing, as is. 'Cause I don't wanna wear heels one day because of you guys!"

Also, 10-year-old Filipino "rakista" Gwyneth Dorado

 was given the golden buzzer which sent her to the grand finals.

During the preliminary competitions, music student Gerphil Flores received a golden buzzer that sent her to the semi-finals, a standing ovation from the audience, and a possible offer from record producer David Foster.

"The voice is so amazing, you sing so in tune. You really, really have a career. I would love to get my hands on you 'cause I think I can make you sound better," Foster gushed.

Filipino shadowplay artists El Gamma Penumbra also received the semi-final golden buzzer from the judges. — Rie Takumi/DVM, GMA News
