Father's Day thanks: Kobe Paras says he’s blessed to have a dad like Benjie

Father's Day was more than a week away but Asia's teenage dunk champion Kobe Paras already expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his dad, PBA legend Benjie Paras.

In an interview with the press last week, Paras said that his dad has always been a source of inspiration as a fellow athlete, but more importantly as the one who raised him.

"I just want to thank him for everything. We've been through so much. Only God knows what we've been through.

"I'm just grateful we have him kasi there was a time in our life that he was really the one taking care of me, Andre, and everyone. I'm pretty blessed to have a father like him," he said.

Last month, Paras also left a message to his stepmom Lyxen Diomampo on Mother's Day.

"Even though no one will ever understand the things we've been through we'll always have each other, forever. Thank you for always being by my side through thick & thin!" he wrote.
