Airport security, other staff fed Jiro Manio instead of sending him away
Police and employees at the NAIA Terminal 3 gave former child actor Jiro Manio food and even had him examined by a doctor instead of telling him to leave the premises, a report on "24 Oras" said on Wednesday.
Manio reportedly left his home and then stayed at the airport terminal, relying on what airport personnel would give to survive the day.
It was reported that Manio may have been missing the medications he had been taking after he stopped his alleged use of illegal drugs.
"Kung kinakailangan bigyan namin ng ayuda, aayudahan namin. Pero yung itataboy namin na ganyan, never. Baka mapahamak pa," an airport police officer told GMA News.
Addressing security concerns, NAIA Terminal 3 manager Octavio Bing Lina said the airport was open to the public and its staff could only monitor Manio's movement to keep him from the restricted areas.
He said airport personnel made sure that he would not harm other people or cause any disruption in the terminal's operations. —with a report from Ariel Fernandez/NB, GMA News
