'StarTalk' video shows a ‘different’ Angel Locsin

GMA StarTalk on Saturday showed a video of a ‘different’ Angel Locsin before she left for the US. StarTalk said the video gave a clue on Angel’s imminent transfer to another television station which her father and manager Becky Aguila, during that time, denied. Angel’s camp confirmed the transfer later. The report said that on July 5, Locsin granted an interview with StarTalk field reporter Jopay Maniago at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport before Angel and her manager boarded the plane. Locsin and Aguila went to Los Angeles for the premiere of the movie Angels and proceeded to London where the former will study fashion designing. StarTalk said that during that time, rumors that Angel would leave GMA had already spread so their reporter asked her about it. However, instead of answering the question, Locsin’s voice and facial expression changed. “Ate Jopay saan pupunta ‘tong interview natin. Ano ba ‘to? Ha? Ay-ay-ay-ay ayokong mag-comment tungkol diyan Ate Jopay kasi gusto ko lang talagang magbakasyon," she said. Angel was also overheard saying, “Nagulat ako sa ginawa ni Ate Jopay." The report said even the StarTalk crew noticed that Locsin’s attitude towards them changed after the aborted interview. It said Angel even told the cameraman to stop following her, when in the past, the former would just let them cover her every move. Angel is still in London for a crash course in fashion design. Wilma Galvante, GMA Network's senior vice president for entertainment, early this week voiced out her disappointment with Locsin's transfer. "We nurtured her... we made her the star that she is," she said in a phone interview with Showbiz Central hosts Pia Guanio and Raymond Gutierrez by telephone. - Amita Legaspi, GMANews.TV
