Dingdong Dantes quits Youth Commission to join Robredo campaign

Actor Dingdong Dantes has resigned from his post as commissioner of the National Youth Commission so he could go on the campaign trail for vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo, GMA News "24 Oras" reported on Monday.

Dantes started out as a volunteer for the commission and spent 15 years with the government agency.

It was President Benigno Aquino III who appointed him commissioner.

"It has been a great honor and privilege to have served as commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission," Dantes said in a Facebook post.

"To serve at the pleasure of the President, alongside professionals for the development of the youth sector, has made this experience extra special," he added. —NB, GMA News
