Lea Salonga performs ‘One Indescribable Instant’ in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend finale

For a show that prominently features Filipino culture, ‘Crazy Ex Girlfriend’ would be remiss if they didn't include Lea Salonga in at least one of their episodes.

Her appearance was confirmed in January and on Monday (April 25), her performance in the finale episode was uploaded on YouTube by The CW Network.

Salonga sang "One Indescribable Instant" while the lead character Rebecca Bunch, played by creator Rachel Bloom, references Aladdin in a romantic encounter with Josh Chan, played by Vincent Rodriguez III.

Bloom decided to play up actor Vincent Rodriguez III's Filipino side in several episodes, including a family dinner where the dish dinuguan was heavily featured.

The show revolves around Rebecca's "insane" decision to quit her job and move from New York to West Covina, California after bumping into her high school sweetheart, Josh.

Bloom received a Golden Globe Award and a Critic's Choice Award for her portrayal of Rebecca, while the show was nominated for a People's Choice Award.
