Bongbong's son apologizes to Enchong Dee for poser's negative tweet

Senator Bongbong Marcos' son Sandro has apologized to actor Enchong Dee over a negative comment made by his poser on Twitter.

An account bearing Sandro's name had tweeted Enchong on Wednesday  "A gay will always be a gay."

The tweet was posted after Enchong, a supporter of the senator's election rival Rep. Leni Robredo, had said, "A Marcos will always be a Marcos."

The tweet exchange went viral, prompting a barrage of angry replies both from Marcos and Robredo supporters.

On Thursday, Sandro reached out to Enchong, apologizing for the comment even though it was only made by a person pretending to be him.

"Hey man, I understand that one of my fake accounts tweeted you, wanted to say i'd never say something like that. Apologies," Sandro tweeted.

Sandro's official Twitter account is sandromarcos7 while the poser's is sandromarcosO7.

Sandro also pointed out that he has only one Twitter account. "Just to clarify, this is my ONLY twitter account. Those other accounts are not me and do not represent my views," he said.

Enchong, meanwhile, apologized for the tweet that started the uproar but which he has taken down already.

"Me too I apologize for what I've said, I guess I became too passionate with this election. My bad," Enchong said.

Sandro brushed this off, placing the blame on the heated elections.

Enchong expressed his respect for the way Sandro handled the issue.
