Michelle tells Filipinos: Accept Regine-Ogie affair

For the first time since the romance of Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez came out in the open, Alcasid’s estranged wife Michelle Van Eimeren finally breaks her silence Sunday. But the former Miss Universe candidate did not say anything bad about her husband and his current girlfriend. In a phone patch aired during Ogie’s birthday celebration at SOP, Michelle refused to say what happened to her relationship with the singer-songwriter. But she assured Regine that she accepts her relationship with Ogie and that the Asia’s songbird is her family. “Ayokong magsabi ng story natin pero gusto ko malaman ng mga tao sa Philippines na family ko yun, family ko yun," Michelle told Regine who was in tears. She added: “Syempre me nangyari between Ogie and myself..hindi pwedeng ayusin yun e pero intidihan ko naman na lahat ng tao kailangan tanggapin ang buhay nila. So for me kung si Regine ang mahal niya ako din tanggapin niya." She also told Regine to accept Ogie. “Please humingi ako sa inyo please tanggapin mo siya wag mo siya bigyan ng hard time mabait yun, mabait yun sa akin, para sa mga anak ko. Pagdating niya dito lagi kaming masaya." Regine thanked Michelle for her message to which the latter replied: “Hindi kailangan mag-thank you Darling, alam mo naman yun e." Michelle also said the public should accept Regine and Ogie's relationship “Kasi yung mga tao d’yan hindi lang nila alam buhay natin ito di ba. Hindi dapat lagi sa TV lahat ng gagawin natin." She further said: “Huwag ka nang iiyak (Regine). Magagalit ako sa mga tao sa Pilipinas kung galit sila sa inyo." Regine told Michelle: “Nag-usap na naman tayo at you know how much I appreciate your friendship, yung understanding mo, yung pagtanggap mo sa akin bilang family. You welcome me in your home. Thank you so much." Michelle answered: “Alam mo Regine. Habang may buhay ako, may breath ako, welcome ka dito sa buhay ko, sa family ko kasi ikaw ang family ko. Mahal ka namin." The songbird once again thanked Michelle and said she loved her and Ogie’s daughters. Michelle said the children loved Regine too. She even asked why Regine — whom, Michelle described as her “ally," — could not go with Ogie when he flies to Australia this week for a visit. - GMANews.TV
