Taxi driver took Maegan Aguilar's guitar unintentionally – operator
The operator of the Nimble Taxi company said on Tuesday that musician Maegan Aguilar should apologize for accusing her cab driver of being a thief who stole the musician's guitar.
According to the taxi company's operator, Rosalinda Gigante, Aguilar's guitar had been left in the cab inadvertently and the driver had every intention of returning it.
Gigante recounted. "'Ah oh, sige. Salamat ah,' sabi pa nga daw ng babae."
And when they driver realized the guitar was still in the cab, she informed Gigante of this and said he expected someone to call for it.
The operator added that a radio broadcaster could vouch for her driver's character, given that in two previous occasions during which passengers forgot their property in the cab, the driver had asked the radio broadcaster to find and return the items to their proper owners.
Gigante also expected Aguilar to apologize publicly through social media, as she had also allegedly maligned the driver through social media.
Kawawa naman 'to, at sana 'wag mabasa ng mga anak niya 'to," she said.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board's Technical Division Chief Joel Bolano had gotten in touch with Gigante and asked her to come to the office and return the guitar.
She and her driver did so on Tuesday.
Aguilar was not present at the LTFRB offices when her guitar was returned as she was ill.
However, despite the return of her property, Aguilar still insisted that she had been victimized by the cab driver.
