Actress Isabel Granada is now in a comatose state after collapsing in Qatar, according to a report on Super Radyo dzBB by John Fontanilla on Wednesday.
Former actor Robby Tarroza, a friend of the actress, said that while at an event, Granada suddenly felt dizzy and lost consciousness.
Granada was rushed to the Heart Hospital Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar.
A nurse at the hospital said Granada had cardiac arrest six times, according to her friend, actress Bianca Lapus, in a post on Facebook.
The actress will undergo a major operation.
Granada is in Qatar for a business trip with her husband.
Among Granada's movies were "Magic to Love" (1989), "Lessons in Love" (1990) where she starred with Chuckie Dreyfus, and Ligaya ang Itawag Mo sa Akin (1997).
She also starred in the GMA shows "That's Entertainment" and "Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown (2011)."
