FHM goes environmental with Miss Earth-Canada Riza Santos
This October, FHM, the undisputed number one men's magazine in the country, goes environmental with the first FHM cover of Miss Earth finalist Riza Santos. Riza, a full-blooded Filipina, was born and raised in Canada to folks hailing from Malolos, Bulacan, and Mariveles, Bataan. But ever since competing for the Miss Earth tilt last November, Riza's return to her parents' homeland has made her busy campaigning for the environment. "Ideally, you should have a passion for the environment," Riza explains about being a Miss Earth candidate. She has gone on to head the Coastal Protection Foundation, partnering with the Philippine Tourism Authority to promote eco-tourism, environmental responsibility, and poverty reduction. Riza says that this is a good opportunity for her to explore her roots as a Filipino by being able to go all over the country. Despite being a regular at beauty pageants and modeling, Riza takes pride in the fact that she's saving herself for the right man. "I feel that I'm very grounded in my faith and in my values, and my parents raised me well. I know where I stand," she proudly says. Even if Riza's job entails her to be sexy, especially now that she's Viva Entertainment's latest contract star, Riza shrugs it off. "Before I entered the entertainment industry, I already had my boundaries," she explains. "It doesn't change my relationship with God, or the way I relate to people, or who I am." Read more about this rising star in the October issue of FHM, also featuring model Denise Montecillo, half-German beauty Sandra Seifert, Tei Allison, and Ava Maria. The October issue of FHM is now available at magazine stands and bookstores. - Philippine Entertainment Portal
