The residents had to leave their homes after government troops enaged in months-long battle against a local terrorist group, which attacked the city.
Bianca, who was chosen as the Youth Ambassador for Education of the non-profit organization, had the opportunity to visit the embattled city to do some charity work.
"I visited Marawi to see how the children and women were. I am now the happiest knowing that they are all in the process of rebuilding their lives. Seeing the smiles on each of their faces despite the trauma melted my heart... ?? My love for children and women is unconditional. I will forever stand up with and for them," Bianca said in her Instagram post.
Bianca emphasized the need to work together to end the ongoing violence, not only in the Philippines but also in other parts of the world.
"Let us all pray for peace and for equality. Let us all work together, hand in hand, in bringing quality Education for them and in Ending Violence Against Children."
The actress then thanked the people who helped the residents of Marawi City to recover.
"I would like to personally thank all the kind hearts and souls out there who have helped, are helping, and are willing to help people who are in need. may God bless you all."
Last Saturday, Bianca celebrated her 18th birthday, titled #SimplyBianca.
