Andrea Torres says adventurous lifestyle led to dream ‘badass’ role

As evidenced by her social media posts, Kapuso actress Andrea Torres works hard to keep herself fit and enjoys doing it too.

In an interview on Saturday, Andrea said that she pretty much always led an active lifestyle and loved trying out different workouts.

This gave her the ability to bag “badass” roles, such as that of Sif in the new fantasy series "Victor Magtanggol".

“Before pa naman active na talaga ako eh. Nagbubuhat na ko and open ako magtry ng ibang klaseng workout like boxing, muay thai, ngayon parang gusto ko na mag-pilates,” she explained.

“Feel ko yung pagiging adventurous ko, di ko namalayan na madadala niya ko sa ganitong mga roles.”

Andrea added that she loved strong-women roles.

“Gusto ko yung mga ganun, gusto ko yung mga babaeng badass ang dating. Yun ang peg ko yung mga strong women,” she said.

The Victor Magtanggol role was more physical in nature, but Andrea says that the work was rewarding, more so because she loved what she was doing.

“Always sulit talaga. Minsan nga hinihingi ko sa handler ko, gusto ko yung di ako natutulog ha, yung parang sa kotse na lang ako magpapahinga. Kasi pag love monyung trabaho mo parang iba talaga eh, rewarding talaga siya,” she said.

“Kahit ano pang pagawa sayo. Kahit na maliit na event yan o malaking bagay talagang ite-treasure mo siya, lalo na kung hindi mo siya madaling nakuha.” — DVM, GMA News
