Luis Alandy: A family man

Luis is candid in saying that he is most proud of his upbringing. “I was brought up properly by my parents and I value them most over anything." "I dont know if it’s bad, like recently may inalok sa aking work and then my brother, the one after me, was operated (on). Although it was high-paying job, sabi ko I can’t just turn my back on my brother because he is in the hospital." Truly, it was evident how much he loves his family and with the anecdotes that he shared with iGMA. Quite contented to talk about his parents and siblings, he was positively glowing when he remembered snippets from his childhood. He is quite proud to say that he is co-managing their family business with his father. “Me and my dad have a business. Ever since nag-e-earn ako, nakikishare ako kasi it was my dad who really is into it, mga wood talaga. He is into antiques. We don’t export, its more on may mag-papagawa sa amin," shared Luis. He added that at first he was not thrilled with the kind of business that his father is passionate about, but he soon became a convert when he realized how important it was to his dad. “Nung bata ako I hate antiques, I don’t know, siguro dahil growing up syempre parang you see in TV na parang puro modern ‘yung mga gamit pero growing up na-learn ko at na-appreciate ko yung ganda ng wood. Ang ganda nung craftsmanship ng mga antiques. So yun parang, right now yung kahit maliliit lang na mga antiques pag nakikita mo iba yung craftsmanship, I really appreciate it." Without a doubt, Luis Alandy is blessed for having a good family and happy childhood memories with his siblings, but the million dollar question is, is he ready to start a family of his own soon? "Not tomorrow or next week. (smiles) But I can see myself having kids and I see myself settling down." So girls, that’s the cue. If you are looking for a real family man, Luis Alandy is you man. - iGMA.tv
