From Danaya to Darna?

GMA-7 actress Sanya Lopez had a blast shouting "Darna!" in a short video clip uploaded on Twitter recently.

Sanya previously played Danaya in the 2016 requel (remake + sequel) of the epic telefantasya Encantadia.

The Kapuso actress is one of the actresses whom netizens believe is suited to bring life to the Pinay superheroine.

In a previous interview, Sanya admitted that she was surprised by the clamor of people for her to be the next Darna.

She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last April, “Nakakatuwa, nakakatuwa dahil siyempre, sobrang strong ng character ni Darna, very empowered.
