Kylie: Second pregnancy was supposed to be an April Fool’s joke, until it wasn’t

Kylie Padilla's second pregnancy was supposed to be her April Fool's Day joke on her husband Aljur Abrenica, until it turned out to be real.

In an interview with GMA entertainment reporters on Tuesday, Kylie recounted how she and Aljur found out they are expecting their second child.

She said Aljur pranked her on April Fool's Day, so she decided to get back on her husband with a prank of her own, writing a red line on a pregnancy test.

"Ginawa ko, kumuha ako ng pregnancy test, sinulatan ko ng red. Nasa CR ako kunware. Sabi ko, 'Mahal! Tignan mo!' Tapos sabi niya, 'Weh hindi naman totoo 'yan, ballpen 'yan oh,' tapos sabi ko, 'O sige joke lang'," Kylie said.

Little did she know her joke would later become true.

"Tapos dumating 'yong time of the month, wala. Sabi ko, oh my God totoo na 'yata ito. Hintay ako five days. 'Mahal, ako 'yong na-prank kasi buntis ako,'" she said. "'Yon doon ko nalaman April Fool's Day. Bumalik sa akin 'yong prank ko."

Kylie has declined to reveal what the name of their second baby will be, but said that it will definitely still start with the letter "A."

Now five months along the way, Kylie announced her pregnancy in a vlog last Sunday. She and Aljur have a son, Alas, who recently turned two years old. — BM, GMA News
