Wife seeks help as Paul 'Bong' Alvarez gets rowdy

Former basketball player Paul Bong Alvarez reportedly caused disturbance in a village in Pasig City when he acted rowdy early Friday morning at his family’s residence. Radio reports quoted Alvarez’s wife, Almira Muhlach, as saying that her husband, who was very drunk, started acting belligerent at about 4 a.m., at their residence in Park Wood Executive Village in Maybunga, Pasig City. Muhlach reportedly asked help from village officials to pacify her husband. The reports said Alvarez’s wife, who was with their children, was seen crying outside of their house. Village officials could not say whether Alvarez hurt Muhlach. Alvarez refused to be interviewed by journalists, according to radio reports. Last August 21, Alvarez was accused of attacking TV reporter Gretchen Malalad. The reporter said Alvarez acted violently, and elbowed her in the face, while she was trying to get his side on reports that Alvarez mauled a taxi driver. Alvarez denied that he intended to hurt Malalad. - GMANews.TV
