Dranreb Belleza recuperating after operation

Former child actor Dranreb Belleza had a successful operation and is now recuperating at the Chinese General Hospital in Manila, GMA’s Showbiz Central reported Sunday. In a taped interview, Dranreb said he was admitted to the hospital afternoon of December 27. "Kaninang umaga ‘yung operation, OK naman. I was admitted here 27th ng December, in the afternoon. Hindi na nila ako pinaalis because sumakit na yung…hindi na ako makalakad on my right side so the doctor told me to check in and tinanggal na rin yung mask sa likod ko," he said. "So as you can see I’m in the hospital trying to get well. It looks like I’m getting well," he added. The showbiz-oriented talk show also reported Dranreb will undergo an intensive therapy after the operation. "I need to reduce cause I gained weight because I was bedridden for a couple of months because of what happened to my spine and ngayon nandun na marami nang mga mentors na tumutulong sa akin," Dranreb further said. Despite the absence of his family members during his operation, Dranreb said he still felt loved. "I felt loved. I felt an outpouring of concern from people I didn’t even know so that is what I’m going to take with me," he said. "Tumatawag yung family (ko) from the United States checking up on me, pero nakatulong talaga ng malaki pag Pasko na andito sa puso," he said, adding, "Wala akong pasalubong kundi yakap. Masaya, ganun pa din yung pagmamahal ng mga inaanak ko sa akin. ‘Yun yung mga things na hindi mo mababayaran." "I hope I will be into the pink of health as soon as I can," Dranreb further said. The former child star arrived in the country on December 6 to undergo a medical treatment and spend the holidays in the Philippines. In August, Belleza disclosed that he is suffering from a bone disease. He said he sustained spinal compressions after a seizure that caused him to fall "from a very high place."
