Mandy Moore performs live at Eastwood City on March 12
American pop singer Mandy Moore is coming back to the Philippines in time for her concert dubbed as Mandy Moore Live at Eastwood City on March 12 (7:30 p.m.) at Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City. Mandy Moore once staged a major concert here in the Philippine in 2003. She became popular with her hit songs like "Candy," "I Wanna Be With You," "Cry," and "Only Hope." The last song was used in the original soundtrack of her movie titled A Walk To Remember (2002), based on Nicholas Sparks's novel of the same title. Born in Florida, U.S.A., Mandy started her singing career at the age of 20. Since 1999, she already has released five music albums. These include So Real (1999), I Wanna Be With You (2000), Mandy Moore (2001), Coverage (2003), and the latest was her Wild Hope album. Mandy performed the first single of the album, "Extraordinary," during the Sundance Film Festival held recently. This 23-year-old singer-actress has also became part of several movies such as The Princess Diaries, Try Seventeen, Saved!, Because I Said So, American Dreamz, and the latest was License to Wed with Academy award- winning actor Robin Williams. Mandy was once tapped as an endorser of local clothing brand Penshoppe. In the 2002 MTV Music Awards held in Singapore, Mandy sang "Cry" in a duet with Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez.
