Fan gets to date Dingdong Dantes

Who says only the single and unattached love Dingdong Dantes? Women, men, and kids of all ages are magnetically lured to his charm, as proven by Elizabeth Capili, a lucky Fanatxt subscriber who won a date with the real-life Sergio! Somebody got lucky! When Elizabeth saw the Fanatxt promo flash on her TV screen while watching MariMar, her four children pushed her to join, headed by her youngest son Jericho, who calls Dingdong “papa." “Sabi ng pinakabunso ko, ‘Mama, text mo si papa ko, ha.’ Papa tawag niya [kay Dingdong], kasi since pinanganak siya, hindi pa niya nakikita papa niya. [Dahil lagi] akong nanonood kay Dingdong at may mga pictures pa, sinasabi tuloy ni Jericho, ‘Mama, ito ba papa ko?’ Tumatawa na lang kami ng mga anak ko!" Elizabeth explains with a laugh. When asked what she likes most about the Dingdong-Marian tandem, Elizabeth answers that their team-up is the best she has seen so far, adding that Dingdong is “mahusay umarte, gwapo, at cute!" While waiting for her date last March 17 at the Circle Café in Timog [which is co-owned by Dingdong and his real-life love Karylle), the 36-year old mom had her hair and makeup done, the expression on her face a dead giveaway of the excitement and nervousness she felt. “Nate-tensyon ako!" she exclaims, sharing that she already has her list of questions to ask. “Itatanong ko kung ano mga lalabas na teleserye niya, at saka mga movie, para maabangan namin!" Here comes her date! Dingdong arrived with a bouquet of flowers for Elizabeth, who was speechless for a while at the beginning of their lunch. Nevertheless, Dingdong kicked off their conversation by asking about Jericho and even carrying him on his lap while they sipped their soup. It didn’t take long for Elizabeth to relax and get past the first few awkward spoonfuls of their meal. Besides, who wouldn’t understand her? We’d all probably act that way if we were on our first date with Dingdong! After dessert, Elizabeth and her family members had their picture with Dingdong as a keepsake of that memorable day. We asked him how the date went, and he said that he thoroughly enjoyed it. The highlight? “Getting to know her candidly. Parang wala lang; she was very pleasant."
