Rochelle Pangilinan’s advice to new girl groups: ‘Chill lang, relax lang’
Before becoming an actress, Rochelle Pangilinan was part of the iconic girl group, Sexbomb Girls.
In an interview with GMA News Online, Rochelle recalled that it was not easy starting a career in the entertainment industry.
“Ang daming ka-kompetisyon. Ang daming abono kasi siyempre magpapaayos ka. Ang dami. So, ang daming puhunan,” she said.
But all of their hard work soon paid off, as the group then rose to fame for their daily performances on “Eat Bulaga.” The girls also had an afternoon drama series, “Daisy Siete.”
Having gone through the highs and lows of being in a girl group, Rochelle has a piece of advice for those who are starting to make a name for themselves.
So, chill lang. Kumbaga gawin mong last performance lagi,” she continued.
Rochelle said that she never initially aimed to become famous, so she’s grateful for the support that was given to the Sexbomb Girls.
Lalo na ang hirap magsimula,” she said.
For Rochelle, it’s best for new artists to just go with the flow.
“Kasi kung pine-pressure mo ‘yung sarili mo, wala, ma-stress ka lang,” she said.
Rochelle officially became a Sparkle star on Tuesday.
In her contract signing, she said that she is excited for this new chapter of her life.
Rochelle currently stars in “Pulang Araw” as Amalia Dimalanta-Torres, the aunt of Adelina (Barbie Forteza) and Eduardo (Alden Richards).
