Megan Young meets Miss World PH 2026 Asia Rose Simpson, offers guidance ahead of pageant
Megan Young recently met with reigning Miss World Philippines Asia Rose Simpson, offering guidance and insights ahead of the international pageant in September.
On Instagram, Asia Rose shared photos from their meeting and quoted American columnist John Crosby in the caption, “Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.”
“Meeting the one and only Miss World from the Philippines [Megan Young] was absolutely incredible!” Asia Rose wrote.
According to the beauty queen, the Kapuso actress took time to assess her strengths and areas for improvement, providing detailed advice on various aspects of pageant preparation.
“The thing I was most impacted by was her willingness to listen to my concerns and help me maneuver the unknown. But beyond listening, what gripped my heart was that she met with me. She is a wife, a mother, a business woman, and yet she took time (though she did not have to) to help me. I know how busy her life is, but because she truly cares she gave of herself freely,” Asia Rose said.
She added that she and her family admired Megan even before meeting her, and that admiration only deepened after hearing her wisdom firsthand.
“Thank you Ms. Megan for sowing valuable seeds in my life. I will ponder and use the wisdom and guidance you worked so hard to share with me,” she said. “I am forever grateful!”
Asia Rose won the Miss World Philippines 2026 title in February.
She will represent the Philippines at the competition set for September 5 in Vietnam.
As of this writing, Megan is the first and only Miss World winner from the country. She won the crown in 2013.
