Jason Mraz says 'Salamat po' to his Pinoy fans for their birthday gift

Jason Mraz posted this on his Instagram account—Filipino fans of his greeting him on his 36th birthday by planting 36 trees.

The "I'm Yours" singer just turned 36 on June 23 and thanked his fans in Tagalog.

He says on his Instagram: "OMG, Salamat Po to these amazing earthlings for the 36 trees they planted today. I love you. I thank you."

The Filipino fans were members of the Jason Mraz-Philippines fans club.



To greet their idol, they spearheaded a tree-planting event at the Luneta Park Sunday, June 23.

Jason is a known environmentalist and tree-planting advocate.

Last year, he launched a tree-planting campaign dubbed "Tree Is A Four-Letter Word," a spin-off of the title of his 2012 EP "Love Is A Four-Letter Word."

He has been to the Philippines three times already—in 2009, 2011, and this year, last month. — PEP.ph
