Regine Velasquez holds no grudges towards disappointed fans on Twitter

Naging mainit ang palitan ng mensahe ng Asia’s Songbird na si Regine Velasquez at ng ilang niyang followers sa Twitter noong April 29.

Medyo hindi nagustuhan ng singer-actress ang pagtatampo diumano ng ilan sa kanyang fans dahil nakalimutan daw nito silang pasalamatan.

Isa pa sa naging punto ng kanilang sagutan ay ang balak ni Regine na maging instrumento ang kanyang boses para sa pagpupuri sa Panginoon.
 
“NEEDED TO SAY SOMETHING.” Kaninang hapon, May 4, ay nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Regine sa launching ng kanyang bagong endorsement.

Dito ay inusisa namin ang Kapuso star sa pakikipagtalo niya sa ilan niyang fans.

Noong una ay medyo atubili pa si Regine na sagutin ang aming mga katanungan, pero nagpaunlak na rin siya kalaunan.

Pahayag niya, “Naku, huwag na nating pag-usapan yun.

"It’s… it was just something that I had to do.

“I felt like I needed to say something because they weren’t really bashing me.

"They were just feeling bad because they think I forgot to thank them. That was just it.

“And you know, they were feeling… parang the way nakuha ko, parang they didn’t like that I’m gonna use my voice to glorify God.

"What's so wrong with that? Nothing is wrong with that.

“So, I felt I had to say something.

"But now, I had no grudges.

"I don’t hate them, hindi ako galit, nothing.

"I just felt that I needed to say something."

Matapos ang question-and-answer portion, natanong muli si Regine tungkol sa kanyang pagpatol sa ilang fans.

Buwelta niya, “Why not? If you feel that you have the right, that’s my account anyway.

“If my followers feel that they have the right to criticize, 'coz that’s what they feel, dahil meron tayong tinatawag na freedom of expression, I also have the right to say that this is how I feel about the whole thing.

“Ganun lang yun.

"If, for example, they will get upset because I did something like that, then, kagaya nung mga sinasabi nila, they should not be on social media thing, ‘no?

“Kasi, if you’re going to feel upset, you shouldn’t have an account on social media.

"But I think that’s my voice, this is my account.

"Kayo nga, if you feel that you all have the right to criticize, tapos ako hindi… tapos ako, wala akong right na ipagtanggol ang sarili ko.

“Besides, hindi ako papatol para awayin, I don’t do that. Hindi ako makikipag-away.

"I voice out my piece, opinions about the matter."

Dagdag pa ng Songbird, kung ang mga nagkomento ay mga bashers lamang, hindi niya ito papatulan; unless pamilya na niya ang pinag-uusapan.

Pero galing daw kasi ito sa kanyang fans kaya niya sinasagot.

Nakausap ng PEP at iba pang media si Regine sa presscon ng PLDT Home Regine Telsets Series, na ginanap sa Annabel’s Restaurant, Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
